Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tidak ada SOP atau aturan yang mengatur pengawasan penggunaan safety equipment di area tersebut, sehingga tidak ada pedoman untuk mengoptimalkan pengawasan. Faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi optimalisasi pengawasan meliputi kesadaran individu dan komitmen terhadap keselamatan. Strategi yang diusulkan mencakup pembuatan SOP atau aturan terkait, penunjukan unit yang bertanggung jawab, serta pelaksanaan sosialisasi dan refreshment mengenai pentingnya penggunaan safety equipment serta pengawasan yang seharusnya dilakukan oleh pihak berwenang. Saran yang diberikan adalah pembuatan SOP atau aturan mengenai pengawasan penggunaan safety equipment dan penunjukan personel atau unit yang bertanggung jawab di apron. Setelah SOP diberlakukan, perlu dilakukan sosialisasi kepada semua personel atau pengguna apron, serta pengecekan rutin di area apron. Selain itu, kerjasama dengan Angkasa Pura 2 diusulkan untuk mendelegasikan pengawasan apron di Akademi Penerbang Indonesia Banyuwangi. Aktivitas ini memiliki risiko kecelakaan jika tidak dilakukan dengan benar dan tidak sesuai dengan prosedurnya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi aktivitas marshalling di apron Akademi Penerbang Indonesia Banyuwangi. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif deskriptif dengan teknik pengumpulan data meliputi observasi, studi pustaka, dan wawancara untuk memperoleh pemahaman mendalam terkait dengan risiko-risiko yang muncul dari aktivitas marshalling yang dilakukan oleh taruna. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat beberapa bahaya dalam aktivitas marshalling terutama kurangnya kesadaran terhadap penggunaan alat pelindung diri. Analisis risiko menunjukkan perbedaan penilaian risiko antara hasil dari dokumen KP-API. BWI tahun 2023 dengan ICAO Doc. 9859 tentang Safety Management Manual. Hasil wawancara juga mengungkapkan bahwa responden menyadari bahaya dari risiko terkait marshalling, tetapi penggunaan peralatan yang tidak selalu konsisten karena keterbatasan peralatan. Sementara itu terdapat fakta bahwa tidak ada HIRA terkait marshalling di apron Akademi Penerbang Indonesia Banyuwangi dan taruna juga tidak mendapatkan pelatihan khusus serta tidak memiliki kompetensi. Penelitian ini berkontribusi signifikan dalam upaya meningkatkan keselamatan terkait aktivitas marshalling di apron Akademi Penerbang Indonesia Banyuwangi.
